Financialisation, Crises and Perspectives: A Look at the EMU

Nina Dodig (Hochschule für Wirtschaft und Recht Berlin) will discuss the architecture of the European Monetary Union (EMU), the origins and consequences of the Euro crisis and the EU’s responses. The talk focuses on southern European countries such as Greece, Italy, Portugal in Spain. Furthermore, she shares her remarks on what the regime changes – caused by austerity policies and internal devaluation – imply for the EMU and the world economy.
